Gentrification Cultivates Mass Incarceration

Silence never takes oppression off your back

Shackles in my skin

Drowns me amongst the mass incarceration

In the streets

Kick it back to the 60’s when the world heard

Panthers roar next to The Berets of Aztlan

Pushing gentrification back

As we fought for Chicano park

We stand firm in Aztlan facing far from their clown show

As we denounce down their Gentrifying businesses

We prove america the real beast

Wears a badge

Yet they keep barking back

Hiding behind their safety walls

The pollution in our port has perpetuated your soul

Slay the contamination in your brain

Encrusting a legacy of ignorance

Shadowing our cultural rebirth

Prosperity for the poor

Paving our grieving soul finally reaching cognition

Of the structure of our world

When light has changed the monster in your head

Will you blaze the bacteria germinating in our land

Gentrification is a bitch but resistance is

The antibody that kills the infection that

Religion neglects subjugating the humanity

In yourself
